Travelin’ Man Tacos

Ingredients
  • 2 lb Ground Beef
  • 6 oz Pork Chorizo
  • 1/2 tbsp Oregano
  • 1/2 tbsp Chili Powder (Preferably New Mexico Hot)
  • 1/2 tbsp Cumin
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 dash Black Pepper
  • 1 Onion (Diced)
  • 12 taco shells or flour tortillas
  • Condiments (Optional)
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Grated cheese
Instructions
  1. Break ground beef and chorizo into frying pan, with stove set to medium-high heat.
  2. Add diced onion, chilies, oregano, salt, chili powder, and a dash of black pepper.
  3. Using a plastic spatula, “chop” the meat so that the pieces of meat are about 1/8 - inch diameter. Cook until hamburger is “done.”
  4. Cover and simmer over low heat until slightly thickened.
  5. Prepare taco shells or tortillas according to package and serve with meat inside.
