Swiss Steak

Cut steak into 4 ounce pieces.

Combine flour and spices on a plate and dredge both sides of the meat in the powder mix.

Heat 1/4 cup oil in a pan at medium - high heat. Brown both sides of each steak in the pan.

Place browned steaks in casserole dish and place sliced onion over and beside meat.

Add enough beef bouillon to cover the meat and onions.

Cover the platter with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Serve on top of white rice. (Pour gravy over meat and rice if desired.)
