The Cavalier CS-72 Coca-Cola Vending Machine
 As a true Coke collector, the ultimate dream is to own your own antique vending machine. In March of 1998 I was fortunate enough to realize that dream with the purchase of a Cavalier C-72. This machine has Coca~Cola embossed on the front of it and “Have a Coke” painted on both sides of the machine. The changer / dispensing system and refrigeration unit are fully functional. My C-72 is one of only 2% of the Model 72 that were originally produced with the two-tone red & white color scheme on the front door. (Although many of today’s refinished “White Door” Model 72s are actually repainted with the red & white design.) As you can see from this photo of the interior, this machine has been restored to an amazing condition. The C-72 has 9 racks which can hold 8 bottles of Coke. (Thus maintaining a capacity of 72 bottles, and earning the C-72 model number.) I currently stock my machine with 1 rack each of: Coca~Cola Diet Coke, Sprite, Dr. Pepper, ICB Root Beer, Barcardi Silver. (All available for 10 cents, if you ever happen to stop by). |
